April Giandomenico, founder of Rock Creek Learning, specializes in mathematics tutoring for students with learning disabilities. She has studied Multisensory Math Instruction with Marilyn Zecher at the Atlantic Seaboard Dyslexia Education Center (ASDEC), and received over 500 hours of tutor training from the Lab School of Washington, a school for bright students with ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning disabilities. She earned her bachelor's degree in physics from Bryn Mawr College and a master's degree in education from the University of Maryland. Previously, she taught math and science at Maret School in Washington, DC, Montgomery County Public Schools, and the Lab School of Washington for both middle school and high school students. Mrs. Giandomenico lives in Silver Spring, MD with her two children.
